Farmville.................................Christopher Lee Avery, age 44, died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at his home. Graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. from Hollywood Cemetery in Farmville. Visitation will be held anytime during the day on Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Avery was a native of Farmville where he worked with the Town of Farmville for eighteen years. He was fun loving, kind hearted, and dedicated to family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee Avery and Dorothy Nichols Avery; maternal grandparents, Gene and Olive Baker; paternal grandparents, Wilbur and Gurty Avery; aunts, Margie Nichols Tripp and Carolyn Whitley Cooley; uncle, Charles Anderson; and cousins, Todd Anderson and Michael Anderson. He is survived by his fiancé, Malinda Smith, her daughter, Haley, and her parents, Troy and Ann Moore of the home; uncles, Bennie "Buck" Nichols and wife, Libby of Greenville and Joe Tripp of Farmville; and aunts, Sandra Anderson of Farmville, Janice Johnson and husband Danny of Snow Hill, Kathy Tyson and Walter Jones of Vanceboro, and Theresa Hawley and husband, Joe of Wilson.
