Greenville.........................Evelyn Jones "Goldie" Eakes age 72, died Sunday February 19, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Carney Hedgepeth. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. Mrs. Eakes was a member of the Bell Arthur Christian Church. She is survived by her sons, Raymond Mitchell Eakes and wife, Lesley and James Harold Eakes Jr. and wife, Natasha all of Bell Arthur; sister, Mildred Reeves of Walstonburg; grandchildren, Cody Eakes and wife, Ashely, Casey Eakes, Justin Eakes, Sarah Rose, Dillon Eakes, and Kwagi Eakes; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Eakes and Gavin Eakes. The family will receive friends at the Farmville Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7 until 9:00 P.M. and other times at the home of Mitchell and Lesley Eakes, 2774 Bruce Strickland Road, Bell Arthur, NC.
