Farmville...........................James Earl Lovitt, age 87 died Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. from the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jack Weathersby. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2:00 P.M. Mr. Lovitt was a member of Friendship Original Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mark LaGant. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lovitt of the home; daughters, Judy Moore and husband, Gentry of Farmville, Eleanor Louise Lovitt of Farmville, and Debra LaGant of Garner; sons, Ronald Lovitt and wife, Olivia of Wilson and Donald Lovitt and wife, Pearl of Garner; sisters, Hilda Nichols and Evelyn Smith both of Farmville; and six grandchildren, Keri Lovitt, Lara Lovitt, Chris Lovitt, Cam Lovitt, Cecil Moore, and Christopher LaGant.
