Snow Hill.................................Leon Edward Wilkins, age 79, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Memorial service will be held Thursday, December 21, at 7:00 P.M. at Liberty Baptist Church in Snow Hill officiated by Rev. Rusty Conyers. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mr. Wilkins was a veteran having served in the United States Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gretchel Webb Wilkins and an infant daughter, Gretchel Lynn Wilkins. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Dale Johnson and husband, Dick of Baldwinville, Massachusetts; son, Jeffrey Edward Wilkins and wife, Christie of Pink Hill; sisters, Mildred Sessoms of Kinston, Shirley Gray of Snow Hill, and Linda Wilkins of Wilmington; brother, David William Wilkins and wife, Carolyn of Snow Hill; one grandson; and four step-grandchildren.
