Mark Wesley Mozingo

Farmville.................................Mark Wesley Mozingo, age 93, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, October 5, at 11:00 A.M. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church by Rev. Claude Thomas Nethercutt. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Farmville. Mr. Mozingo was a member of the Board of Directors Pitt Greene E.M.C. for over 45 years where he served as secretary and treasurer, the Farmville Rural Fireman's Association, Pitt County A.S.C. County Committee, the Clay Hill Hunting Club where he received the Sportsman of the Year Trophy for 13 years. He also was the former co-owner and operator of Planters Tobacco Warehouse and retired from Royster Fertilizer at the age of 55. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and farmed for 45 years. Mr. Mozingo was a charter member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lottie Smith Mozingo of the home; daughters, Margaret Stephenson and husband, Irving W. of Monterey, Tennessee, Carolyn Kirby of Kenly, and Donna Dash and husband, Phil of Greenville; son, Garland Mozingo and wife, Connie of Farmville; sister, Margie Watson and husband, Tom of Farmville; brothers, Conrad Mozingo and wife, Elsie of Farmville and Van G. Mozingo and wife, Miriam of Williamsburg, Virginia; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
