Trenton..................................Matthew Thomas Slane, age 31, died Thursday, August 17, 2017. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:00 P.M. from the Cox Family Cemetery near Stantonsburg by Rev. Michael Bryan. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. He is survived by his mother, Mary Cox Slane of Greenville; father, Tom Slane of Piney Flats, TN; sister, Sarah McKeever; and special Aunt Betsy Cox Smith of Trenton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Greene County Animal Shelter, 1985 Hwy 903, Snow Hill, NC 28580. Online condolences may be made at www.farmvillefh.com.
