Obituary

Farmville..........................Allie "Puggy" Walston Oakley, age 85, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Funeral service will be conducted Friday, November 27, at 11:00 A.M. at King's Cross Roads Free Will Baptist Church by Rev. Bruce Jones and Rev. Ronnie Vann Hobgood. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens near Farmville. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Mrs. Oakley was a member of King's Cross Roads Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Oakley and daughter, Ann Tyson. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Oakley of Kinston; son, Tony Oakley of the home; brother, Rod Walston and wife, Marlene of Watkinsville, GA; grandchildren, Derek and Craig Shirley, Kevin Shingleton, and Crystal Taylor; and five great grandchildren.
