Ann Hamm Vick

Winterville.................................Ann Hamm Vick, age 79, of 3348 Stone Bend Drive, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Vick was born October 8, 1936 in Greene County to the late Walton and Annie Laurie Hamm. After her graduation from Snow Hill High School in 1954, she began her career as an office worker and worked until her retirement in 1996 from FCX and Southern States. She and her husband, Roy Allen enjoyed traveling after their retirement. They moved from Farmville to Winterville in 2004 to be close to their son and his family due to Roy Allen's illness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Allen Vick; brothers, Marshal and Kenneth Hamm; sister-in-law, Ann Perry Hamm; and brother-in-law, Farrell Dawson. She is survived by her loving son, Allen Vick and wife, Jamie, and two special grandchildren, Jared and Kendall Vick all of Winterville; brother, Stuart Hamm and wife, Loretta of Snow Hill; sisters, Sandra Dawson of Goldsboro, Betty Hardy and husband, Charles of Raleigh, and Diane Barbour and husband, Larry of Raleigh. The family will receive friends at the Farmville Funeral Home, Thursday evening from 6 until 8:00 P.M. and other times at 3348 Stone Bend Dr., Winterville. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Snow Hill Cemetery.
