Clovis Ann Stocks Bowen

Ayden.................................Mrs. Clovis Ann Stocks Bowen, age 68, joined her Savior and parents in Heaven late Friday evening, November 3, 2017. Clovis was a native and spent her life living at Willow Green in Greene County. She was born August 18, 1949 to John Harvey Stocks & Nina Ruth Wooten Stocks from Ormondsville. She graduated Greene Central High School in 1967. After getting married she attended Pitt Tech (now Pitt Community College). She went on to have a career working for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 40 years. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She played the organ, taught Sunday School, helped with Vacation Bible School each year, sang in the adult choir, and directed the children's choir at Ormondsville FWB and later Marlboro FWB. She leaves behind her devoted husband of fifty years, Hubert Bowen, their son Jack, and his partner Angela; two step grandchildren, Ashley and Ella Gallaway; grandchildren, Maggie Cassidy of South Port, Aaron Gregory of Farmville, and Jack Douglas Jr of Richlands; and great-granddaughter, Cassidy Harrell of Durham. She also leaves her loving siblings, brother, Timothy Stocks and wife, Marilou Stocks; nephew, John Stocks; niece, Juliena Ann Stocks; sister, Ivy Gwen Carlyle, and husband, Gene Carlyle; and niece, Ciara Stocks. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 5:00 P.M. from the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel. Committal service will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Hollywood Cemetery in Farmville.
