Macclesfield.............................Fay Briley Cobb, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in her Macclesfield home. She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Randolph Cobb; son, Randolph Cobb Jr and wife Kay; grandson Randy Cobb and wife Melissa; grandson Allen Cobb; great grandchildren, Randall Cobb, Kayla Cobb, and Caroline Cobb; sisters Pearlie Buck and Lucille Harrell of Greenville, and Dolores Harris of Carrollton, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Fay Cobb, of the home, parents J.J. and Henrietta Briley, and sister Thelma Clark, all of Greenville. Throughout her life Fay enjoyed passions such as growing African Violets, tropical fish, sewing, painting, and preparing a hearty meal for her family as a part of a hard day's work. Her years of dedication to her children's Sunday School class and community friends was admirable. Her love for family is reflected in her work maintaining family history records, and in her affection for her parents, four sisters, and immediate family. The family will receive friends at Farmville Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 6 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be Thursday, March 7 at 2:00 PM at the Cobb Family Cemetery officiated by Dr. Randy Cobb.
