Farmville.........................Jean Cayton McLawhorn, age 84, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019. A private service will be held at a later date. Jean was a homemaker, entrepreneur, and worked several years at Union Carbide in production, and retired from Burroughs Welcome as a production line supervisor. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Breeden, brother, Jan Cayton, and parents, Archie and Virginia Cayton. She is survived by her daughters, Linda O'Neal (Wyatt) of Wilson, Judy Fleming (Van) of Greenville, and Sandra Warren (Chad) of Washington; son, Weldon Earl "Skipper" McLawhorn Jr. (Deborah) of Greenville; son-in-law, David Breeden of Manassas, VA; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arthur Christian Church, 2616 Firehouse Road, Bell Arthur, NC 27811; Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, 3520 Tupper Drive, Greenville, NC 27834; or Dementia Alliance of North Carolina, 9131 Anson Way Suite 206, Raleigh, NC 27615.
