Ossian, IN.................................Lester Eugene Turner, age 67, formerly of Pitt Co., died Friday, August 19, 2016. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. from the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Rick Bailey. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. Mr. Turner was a veteran of Vietnam having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Linda Turner of the home; daughter, Janet Guthrie of Winterville; sons, Paul Turner and wife, Joyce of Tarboro and Wade Turner and wife, Emma of Bridgman, MI; brother, Jessie Turner of Covington, KY; grandchildren, Devin Guthrie, Jacob Turner, Raleigh Guthrie, Caleb Turner, James Guthrie, Jonathan Turner, Luke Turner, and Naomi Turner. The family will receive friends at the Farmville Funeral Home Friday evening from 7 until 9:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Turner to to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 191 Waukegan Road, Northfield, IL 60093, or the Leo W.
