Lillie Strickland Rackley

Farmville.................................Lillie Strickland Rackley, age 99, died Friday April 1, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A.M. from the First Baptist Church of Farmville by Dr. Rick Bailey. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. Mrs. Rackley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence B. Rackley; son, Shelton Rackley and his wife, Faye; son-in-law, Milton Elks; and a grandson, Jerry Rackley. She is survived by her son, Sherrell Rackley and wife, Sylvia of Smithfield; daughters, Gloria Elks of Farmville, and Barbara Varley and husband, David of Merritt; sister-in-law, Briana Smith of Turkey; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Farmville Funeral Home, Sunday evening from 5 until 7:00 P.M. and other times at the home of Gloria Elks, 3376 Bynum Drive, Farmville, NC 27828.
