Robert Bryan "Bob" Munford

Robert Bryan "Bob" Munford, age 83, of Farmville and Southern Shores, died Saturday, Nov. 7th, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Bob was born 11/27/31 in Wilson, NC to John Bryan and Nellie Haney Munford. Bob graduated from Charles L. Coon High School and was a veteran. He is survived by his wife, Sara; stepdaughter Ann Lassiter (Monte Hooker), stepson Grady Lassiter (Sue Norris) and one grandson, Thomas Hooker. Bob was predeceased by a grandson, Alex Lassiter. Also surviving is a sister, Doris McIntosh of Wilson, and several nieces. All who knew Bob will remember his love for animals, hunting, golf, flying his airplanes and especially his many friends. He loved his dearly departed dog Casey and cats B.C. and Casper. He will be missed by his birds and the fox who visited him daily. As Bob requested, he was cremated and there will be no formal service. An informal gathering to celebrate Bob's life will be held Saturday, Nov. 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Colonial Inn, 3776 West Wilson St., Farmville, NC where stories will be told and tall tales swapped.
