Walstonburg.................................Wilbert McCoy Bowden, age 71, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. from the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Ellis Family Cemetery near Walstonburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2:00 P.M. Mr. Bowden was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Smith; two sisters; and four brothers. He is survived by a daughter, Shannon Smith and husband, Joseph of Newton Grove; sister, Janie Beyer of Sims; brother, Linwood Bowden of Walstonburg; and two grandchildren, Johnathan and Gracie Smith.
