Addie Westbrook Jackson Harper

Burlington, NC/Grifton, NC……………...Addie Westbrook Jackson Harper, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was a native of Pitt County and the wife of the late Bobby Ray Jackson. She was a member of the Grifton Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years before moving to Burlington NC in 2008 where she began attending Peoples Church.  She was an employee for over 15 years at Walmart.  She was a devoted Christian all her life.  She was full of love, compassion and kindness.  She made friends wherever she went. She loved bringing people to know the love of Jesus.  She also loved to laugh.  She was a devoted, loving, caring, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Billy Ray Jackson & Jeffrey Thomas Jackson both of Grifton NC, her daughter, Lorie Jackson Barbour & husband Bobby, grandchildren, Luke and Tanner Barbour, as well as her sister, Jackie Westbrook Rouse. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Bobby Ray Jackson, parents, Linster Duffy & Nettie Wiley Westbrook, sisters Mae Westbrook Quinn, Lizbeth Westbrook Hartman, Earle Westbrook Gladson, Irene Westbrook Lantowski, Mary Westbrook Fleming, Eva Westbrook Arthur, brothers Gene Westbrook & Dempsey Westbrook, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. She was also preceded in death by late husband, Ronald Harper.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Farmville Funeral Home located at 4226 E. Church St, Farmville, NC 27828 by Rev. Sherwood Paige and burial will follow at the Jackson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the Farmville Funeral home.
