Alex Gray Corbett

Farmville……………………. Alex Gray Corbett, age 81, died Saturday, January 27, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Alex is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Gray Corbett and Susie Mae Harris Corbett; his wife, Dean Willoughby Corbett, and his brother Horace Glenn Corbett.

                                                A memorial service will be held at a later date.

                                                He is survived by daughter, Amanda Corbett and husband, Colin Sheffield of Chapel Hill; grandson, Joseph Laliberte of Chapel Hill; sister, Phyllis Stainback (Grady) of Henderson; nephew, Barron Stainback of Henderson; sister-in-law, Kaye Corbett of Union, SC;  nephew, Garner Corbett (Monica) of Atlanta, GA; brothers-in-law, Joe Willoughby and Jesse Joyner of Farmville and Ernest Willoughby (Jane) of Gibsonville; niece, Jean Suggs; nephew, Al Joyner (Lori) of Farmville and several nieces and nephews.
