Barry Andrew Everett

Barry Andrew Everett, 66, of Walstonburg, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at ECU Health Medical Center.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Barry later lived in Florida, Washington, and North Carolina. Barry immersed himself in the world of antiques, where he developed a passion and keen eye for American pottery, glassware, and artwork. His appreciation for craftsmanship and history of antiques allowed him to discover and share this knowledge and unique treasures with others.

Barry was predeceased by his father, Edward Everett. He is survived by his mother, Mary Everett of Fort Pierce, Florida; his sister, Brenda Montgomery, of Lake Forest, California; and his brothers, Brian Everett of Walstonburg, North Carolina, and Brad Everett of Edmonds, Washington. He also leaves behind his three nieces.

Barry had an easy way of connecting with both friends and strangers. People noticed him for his height but remembered him for his sense of humor and good nature. Beyond his wit, Barry was a caring and compassionate person who quietly helped those around him whenever they were in need.

He also had a deep love for animals, rescuing many cats over the years as well as his beloved dog, offering them care and a home.

There will be no formal services.

Barry will be remembered for his humor, his kindness, and the lasting impression he made on those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.
