Bobby Allen Porter

Bobby Allen Porter, age 80, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

                                                Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 26, at 2:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Donald Daniels.  Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Farmville.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

                                                Mr. Porter was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Kathleen Porter; brother, Johnny Lee Porter; and brother-in-law, William Hill.

                                                He is survived by his wife, Margaret Strickland Porter of the home; daughters, Catherine Gonzalez and husband, Lauro of Farmville, Patricia Bullock and husband, Bobby of Wilson, and Beverley Beddard and husband, Gene of Farmville; son, Danney Hair and wife, Nancy of Williamston; sisters, Martha Hill of Kenly, Agnes Young of Gibonsville, Mattie Porter and Judy Taylor, both of Burlington; brothers, Robert Porter and Kenneth Porter, both of Burlington, and Richard Porter of Panama City, FL; fourteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several special nieces and nephews; and special friend, Izzy.
