Carol Robertson David

Carol Robertson David, 66, passed away in her Greenville, N.C. home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, June 26, 2022.

Born June 19, 1956 in Lancaster, S.C., she graduated Lancaster High School in 1974 with honors, was a member of the First Baptist Church and active in its' youth group and choir, and occasionally worked as a soda jerk in her father's drug store. In 1977 she received her Bachelor's and in 1981 her Master's in Home Economics from Winthrop College while also working as a Residence Director. Carol taught Home Economics at J.V. Martin Jr. High School in Dillon, S.C., where she met and married her husband of 38 years. After moving to Greenville, N.C. She received her N.C. Elementary Education Certification and taught Remediation and Title I at G.R. Whitfield and Grifton Elementary School. Along with her teaching, volunteering has been a large part of Carol's life before and after retiring in 2009.

In her retirement, Carol took great pride in tending her garden. She loved spending time with her family and friends, crafting, teaching, and studying the Bible. She found immense joy in sharing her passions with others.

She is survived by her husband Frank 'B.' David IV; her children Quint David of Boone, N.C., Lindsay Wilson and her husband David of Arlington, T.X., and Jessica Dobbs and her husband Colton of Farmville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Cadence and Fox Dobbs; the dog Duke; her sister Donna Bruce and her husband Chris of Greenville, S.C., and brother Claude Robertson and his partner Linda Ouzts of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.. She is predeceased by her parents C.D. and Hope Robertson; and her brother Wayne Robertson.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 7th, 2022 at 11:00am at Farmville Funeral Home in Farmville, N.C.. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Samaritans Purse, The Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the cancer care team under Dr. H. White, 3HC Hospice Care and the Cancer Center at Vidant for all of their compassion, kindness and dedication.
