Charles "Tony" Anthony Morrissey III

Charles “Tony” Anthony Morrissey III, age 67, died Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Tony was born in Brevard County, Florida to Charles and Anita Morrissey. Growing up in a military family, he lived all over the world. He moved to Farmville, North Carolina in 2002. Tony was an active member of Farmville Presbyterian Church, where he enjoyed singing in the church choir, entertaining children at Vacation Bible School, serving meals at the soup kitchen and delivering Meals on Wheels. He truly had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help others.

He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. Tony wasn’t the life of the party; he WAS the party.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Morrissey of the home; sons, Michael Morrissey of the home and Andrew (Jennifer) Morrissey of Senoia, Georgia; daughter, Erin (Bobby) Lohr of Senoia, Georgia; grandchildren, Jordyn Lohr, Charlie Lohr, Corryn Lohr, Drew Morrissey, and Taylor Mulcahy; and a sister, Jacque Meredith of Florida.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00pm at Farmville Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Farmville Presbyterian Church, 4138 Grimmersburg Street, Farmville, NC 27828 or a charity of your choosing.
