Farmville…………………………………………Christine Bain Murphy, age 82, died Monday, October 23, 2023.

                                                            A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 5, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Christian Church in Farmville by Pastor Morgan Daughety.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

                                                            Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.  She attended the North Carolina School of Deaf in Morganton.

                                                           She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Rhodes of Farmville and Jeanette Bland and ex-husband, John of Sims; son, Dempsey Murphy and wife, Amber of Winterville; grandchildren, Zach Murphy, Kenny Bland, Christopher Murphy, Emily Murphy, Elizabeth Bland, Joey Bland, Declan Murphy; special grandson, Jason Yester; great grandchildren, Haven Murphy and Kieran Murphy; and sister, Carlene Nixon of Decatur, Tennessee.

                                                            Arrangements are by Farmville Funeral Home.
