Dannie Wooten Obituary

Fountain……â…ââ…….Dannie Bruce Wooten, age 66, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

 

                                                Graveside service will be held Friday, July 30 at 10:00 A.M. at the Peaden Family Cemetery by Rev. Keith Cobb. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Those desiring to pay their respects may do so Thursday between 12:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home.

 

                                                Mr. Wooten was a graduate of East Carolina University. He was a member of Dilda’s Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church where he also played the piano for thirty years. He was known for his love of antiques and yard sales, family ancestry, and as the former owner and operator of Red Oak Show and Sale. He spent many years working in operations at BB&T and Wachovia.

 

                                                He is survived by his mother, Mary P. Wooten of Fountain; brother, J.W. Wooten and wife, Kay of Fountain; nephew, Justin Wooten and wife, Maghan of Greenville; step-sister, Shelba Forrest and husband, Bobby of Greensboro; step-brother, Mitch Wooten of New Bern; long time friend, Martin Pennington of Wilson; and many loving family members.
