Snow Hill…………………………………..Debbie Fields Murphy, age 66, died Thursday, June 16, 2022.

                                                                Graveside service will be held Monday, June 20, at 3:30 P.M. at the Walstonburg Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

                                                                Those desiring to pay their respects may do so Monday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the graveside service at Farmville Funeral Home.

                                                                Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Grey Fields and Joyce Rouse Fields.  She began her career at Wilson Memorial Hospital as a nurse and founded a non- profit to help parents of children with tuberous sclerosis.

                                                                She is survived by her daughter, Laura Murphy of Greenville; sons, Patrick Murphy and wife, Meredith of Durham and Christopher Murphy of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Magnolia and Dorothea Murphy; former husband, Rex Murphy of Kinston; sister, Kathy Fields Blizzard and husband, Donnie of Stantonsburg; brother, Chuck Fields and wife, Joy of Walstonburg; one aunt, Betsy Cranford; one uncle, Julian Boyce; many cousins; many nieces and nephews.
