Doris Wilkinson Briley

Farmville………………………………….Doris Carr Wilkinson Briley, 73 of Farmville passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2025. Doris was born on July 29th, 1951 to Doris Carr and John Moseley Wilkinson. She graduated from Farmville High School and attended Louisburg College. 

A lifelong member of Farmville First Christian Church, she devoted much of her time and energy to the church's activities and missions. Dede, as she was affectionately known, enjoyed attending and watching the activities of her grandchildren and great nieces. She was everyone's cheerleader. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nancy Bradham.  

Doris is survived by her husband of 54 years, Johnnie, her son John Keynon and wife Sarah and grandchildren, Emma, Elizabeth and John Thomas. She is also survived by a niece Suzanne Bradham Jones and husband Scott, and 2 great nieces Mary Wesley and Madeline Craft, and a nephew Walker Bradham partner Maggie and great nephew Moseley, and brother-in-law, Frank Bradham. 

The family would like to give special thanks to Sharon Little, Penny McCreary as well as the staff of Pruitt Hospice, Windsor House and Wilson House. 

A visitation will be held Saturday April 19th at 10:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00am at Farmville First Christian Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Farmville First Christian Church.
