Farmville………………………………….Edith Justice Mozingo passed away peacefully Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the age of 94.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, at 11:00 A.M. at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Bruce Jones. The family will receive friends at the Farmville Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Edith spent a lifetime serving others. She was a farmer’s wife, a bus monitor with Pitt County Schools, and she made sure everyone that came through her house was well fed. She never missed an opportunity to give a gift to celebrate a birthday or holiday. Everyone felt like family in her home. She loved going shopping and spending time with her family and doing puzzles. She will surely be missed.
She was born in Greene County to the late Ollie and Lester Justice and is preceded in death by her husband, John Mozingo Jr.; grandson, Donald Willson Jr.; granddaughter, Kristen Willson; two great grandchildren; sons-in-law, Eddie Martin and Joe Mozingo; brothers, Dalton and Kenneth Justice; and sister, Margaret Boyd.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Gardner (Ben), Diane Sumlin (Jimmy), Terry Martin, Janice Willson (Donnie), Clair Mozingo, Bobbie Jo Brady (Jesse); a son, Randy Mozingo (Ronda); ten grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Sue Evans of Virginia; and brother, Charles Justice of Greenville.
She will be missed dearly by her family and those that were blessed to know her.
