Evelyn Gray Owens

Fountain…………………………………..Evelyn Gray Owens, age 75, died Thursday, September 10, 2020.

                                                                Graveside service will be held Sunday, September 13, at 2:00 P.M. at Queen Anne Cemetery in Fountain by Rev. Don Holland.  The family will receive friends at the Farmville Funeral Home, Saturday evening from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M.

                                                                Evelyn was born and raised in Fountain, NC.  She was retired from Cotton Belt Manufacturing and worked part time taking care of the elderly.  For the past several years she looked after her mother and brother.  She was a member of Maccrepine Church where serving and teaching the Lord’s words was her greatest mission.

                                                                She was preceded in death by her father, William Owens and mother, Madie Gray Owens; brother, Buck Owens; and sister, Fay Joyner.

                                                                Left to cherish her memories are her brother, James (Bud) Owens; nephews, Ronnie (Marie) Joyner, Bruce (Flo) Owens, Keith (Anita) Owens, and numerous great nephews, nieces, and cousins.

                                                                The family expresses their thanks to Maccrepine members, Pruitt Hospice and Vidant for their compassion and support through this difficult time.

                                                                Evelyn, you now have your angel wings; so fly high till we all meet again.
