Freddie L. Brown, 49, of Greenville, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2025.
Born on November 23, 1975, Freddie was the son of Mattie Horne of Farmville, North Carolina. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was known for his discipline, integrity, and devotion to his family and fitness. Freddie's strength, compassion, bear hugs, and enormous smile left a lasting mark on everyone he knew.
Freddie is survived by his loving mother, Mattie Horne; his daughter, Mykkyh Corpening; his sisters, Sharon Davis, Nkem Agbi, MD (Francesann), Patricia Brown, Stephanie Lloyd, and Tarnisha Speight; his brother, Tyrell Speight; 21 nieces and nephews, and many friends and family who loved and cherished him deeply.
Freddie is to be remembered for his unwavering spirit and belief in standing up for himself and what he believed was right.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 19 at 1:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. There will be a public viewing Friday, October 17 from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.
