Geraldine "Jerry" Helms Barnes

Farmville………………………………………………Geraldine “Jerry” Helms Barnes, age 89, died Friday, November 3, 2023.

                                                                                Funeral service will be conducted Monday, November 6, at   7:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gerald McCants.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

                                                                                Interment will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Cedarwood Cemetery at 225 Kemp Avenue in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

                                                                                Mrs. Barnes was a member of Marlboro Original Free Will Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Denson Barnes Jr.

                                                                                She is survived by her sons, Larry Denson Barnes and wife, Debbie of Washington and Terry Lee Barnes and wife, Linda of Monroe; sister, Marlene Huntley of Wadesboro; grandchildren, Joshua Lee Barnes, Jamie Lambert, and Kevin Lambert; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
