Farmville………………………………………….James Robert Corbitt Jr., age 72, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at his home.

                                                A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 6 at 11:00 A.M. at Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home.

                                                Mr. Corbitt was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, who was respected by many, and was known as a family man.

                                                He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Corbitt of the home; sons, Jamie Corbitt of Aurora and Josh Shackelford of Farmville; sisters, Carol Boyette of Raleigh and Debbie Burroughs of Columbia, SC; and grandchildren, Bailey Corbitt, Ty Corbitt, Gray Corbitt, and Ember Shackelford.
