Fountain……………………….James Thomas Owens, age 82, died Monday, October 19, 2020.

                                    A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 22, at 2:00 P.M. at Queen Anne Cemetery in Fountain by Rev. Allen Hall. The family will receive friends at the Farmville Funeral Home, Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M.

                                    Bud was born and raised in Fountain. He engaged in farming and cattle. His passions were fishing and looking after his family. He was a member of Maccripine Church where his church family became part of his life.

                                    He was preceded in death by father, William Owens; mother, Madie Gray Owens; brother, Buck Owens; and sisters, Fay Joyner and Evelyn Owens.

                                    Left to cherish his memories are nephews, Ronnie Joyner (Maire), Bruce Owens (Flo), Keith Owens (Anita); numerous great nephews, great-nieces, and cousins.

                                    The family wishes to express their appreciation to Maccripine Church Members, along with Edgecombe Health and Rehab for their compassion and support during this difficult time.

                                    Bud, go rest now in Heaven on all of God’s fish banks.
