Farmville…………………James “Jim” Jerome Glynn, age 90, of Farmville, NC, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025.
Born April 15, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, to beloved parents Edith and James Glynn. Jim and Barbara “Bobbi” made their home in Hackettstown, NJ and retired to Hellertown, PA and has spent the last two years in Farmville, NC. Jim dedicated over 35 years of his career to Western Electric/AT&T, serving as a District Manager in New York City. He was known for his warm heart, sharp intelligence, and his love of travel and adventure. Jim and his wife, Barbara, traveled across the United States and Canada and spent many cherished winters in Myrtle Beach, SC. He enjoyed exploring technology, dabbling on the computer, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Barbara; daughter, Susan Laux, and partner Dave Ellis; son Pete and wife, Angie; grandson Chris Laux and wife Nicole; granddaughter’s, Ashton Everette and husband Ken and Ellie Glynn and great grandchildren Aubree, Blake, and Hailee Laux. Also survived by his sister Jackie Otto and many beloved nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents Edith and James Glynn and his in-laws, Elinor and Richard Rau and his son James and brother Don Glynn.
Jim’s family and friends will remember him for his bold laughter, loving kindness and generosity and adventurous spirit.
