Janet Stark Cox

Bristow, VA…………………..Janet Stark Cox, age 83, died Sunday, December 3, 2023. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 12; Viewing to start at 10:00 AM and the  service at 11:00 A.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home chapel by Rev. Rick Bailey. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.

Mrs. Cox was a longtime employee of the Wesley Davenport Insurance Agency in Greenville, NC. She was a resident of Farmville for over 30 years and relocated to Virginia in 2022 after the death of her beloved husband, Wayne Cox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Willis Stark and Carrie Elizabeth Stark; beloved husband, Preston “Wayne” Cox; son, James Willis Holmes Roberts; step-son, William “Little Wayne” Cox; and sister, Nellie Mae Eley.

She leaves behind her big brother, Kenneth Stark; her two daughters, Susan Cummins and Katherine Ingram; grandchildren, Michelle Scaggs, Antonieo Lefavi, Mathew Cummins, Mark Cummins, and Carrie Cummins; great grand-children, Mary Lefavi, Antonieo Lefavi Jr, William Cummins, and Diamond Latham; as well as her mother-in-law and good friend, Ann Pridgen and the Cox family; Simon, Sheila, Sharon, Reggie, and Lou Ann.
