Obituary
Fountain……………..Janet Elaine Murray, age 69, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, died Saturday, March 5, 2022.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 9, at 3:00 P.M. by Father Joseph “Sonny” Browne at Queen Anne Cemetery in Fountain. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. A memorial service will be held at a later date at All Saints Episcopal Church.
Miss Murray was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church, a former teacher and coach in the Weldon City Schools and she was an avid sports lover. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Estelle Langley Murray; and her aunt Alice Langley who was mother to her at an early age.
She is survived by her sister, Edna Starling and husband, Joe of Wilson; cousins, Faith Langley and her son Chris, Joey Exum, Betty James, and Jean Bridgers; good friend, Keith Hill, and her cat, Lucy.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, 635 Hamilton Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
