Fountain……………….Jim Johnson, age 84. died Monday, January 16, 2023.

            Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 21, at 2:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bruce Jones. Interment will follow in Queen Anne Cemetery in Fountain. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

            Mr. Johnson attended Kings Cross Roads Original Free Will Baptist church. He retired from Martin Marietta after 40 years.

            He is survived by his wife, Janet Johnson of the home; sons, Jeff Johnson and wife, Debbie of Raleigh, Tim Johnson and wife, Tami of Scuffleton; step-daughter, Terry Howard and husband, Sam of Fountain; grandchildren, Scott Johnson and wife, Jo, Jessica Johnson, Austin Johnson, Amanda Tozzi, David Johnson, and Katy Howard; great-grandchildren, Landon and Logan Johnson; sister, Lillie Mae Holden of Holden Beach; and brothers, Tom Johnson of California, and Steve Johnson of Bolivia.
