Macclesfield………………………..Joseph Edward Gay Jr., age 67, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

                                                            Memorial service will be held Monday, January 17, at 2:00 P.M. at the Falkland Church of God by Rev. Gordon Braxton.  Interment will follow at Autrey’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the church and other times at the home of Kathy Jo Jones, 300 West Eason Street, Macclesfield, NC.

                                                            Mr. Gay was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Edward Gay and Betty Norman Gay; and brother, Albert Ray Gay.

                                                            He is survived by his wife, Kathy Pittman Gay of the home; daughter, Kathy Jo Jones and husband, Jack of Macclesfield; son, Chris Gay and Tiffani Callaway of Greenville; grandchildren, Ashley Dail and Thomas Cooper, Courtney Biller and husband, Matthew, Alexis Gay, and Emily Jones; great grandchildren, Savannah Dail, Colton Cooper, and Madeline Biller; brother, J.W. Gay and wife, Sandra of Red Oak; and sister-in-law, Barbara Pittman.
