Farmville……………………………….Joseph Wilson Swigert Jr., age 77, died Sunday, August 31, 2025.  

Mr. Swigert was a veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Swigert of the home; sister, Linda Barry of York, PA; special friends, Jimmy Norville and wife, Linda, and Walt Tyndall; caregiver and “Bonus daughter,” Melanie Tripp.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home. No formal service will be held.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, 3520 Tupper Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
