Joseph "Bubba" Wayne Amsdill

Bell Arthur………….Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Jospeh Wayne “Bubba”  Amsdill, age 24, died Saturday, August 24, 2024.

                                    Funeral service will be held Sunday, September 8, at 4:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lee Modlin with full military honors.   The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

                                    Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Amsdill was currently serving aboard the USS George Bush and was stationed in Norfolk, VA.  He had served multiple deployments during his military service.

                                    He is survived by his parents, Katie Grissom and Bob Grissom of Bell Arthur; grandparents, Jeff and Lee Shackleford, Bobby and Sue Grissom, and Barbara and John Rindt; sister, Savanna “Lovie” Amsdill of Goldsboro; brother, Tim Amsdill of Lumberton; aunts and uncles; many loved nieces and nephews; and other extended family; and his military family.
