Josephine Hobgood Tyndall

Josephine Norma Hobgood Tyndall, (Jo-Jo), 85 years old of Farmville, NC, passed away early morning on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Josephine was the daughter of Nannie Williams and Linwood Hobgood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Leamon Tyndall, great-grandchild, Kyle Jenkins; and two brothers, Harold G. Hobgood and Linwood E. Hobgood, Jr. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Tyndall Jenkins and son-in-law Herman H. Jenkins, Jr. from Farmville, NC; four grandchildren: Nicole Jenkins Lewis from Clayton, NC, Eddie Olejar & Jessica Jenkins Olejar from Ayden, NC, Doris & Herman H. "Hank" Jenkins III from Houston, Texas, and Emily Paige Jenkins of Farmville; ten great grandchildren; and sisters, Vivian Hobgood Mumford and Jean Hobgood Beamon. Josephine retired as an Interior Decorator from Bostic Suggs. She was a proud grandmother always showing great love and devotion to her family. She enjoyed many outside sports, such as water skiing, basketball, horseshoes, and swimming. Josephine was known for her sweet nature and gentle spirit, and she has made everlasting friendships throughout her life. She has inspired and motivated others by her loving heart, kind nature, and giving spirit. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 29th, 2019 at Farmville Funeral Home.
