Julian Ervin Boyce of Garner, NC died on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Mr. Boyce was a native of Pitt County and was born to the late Peyton Boyce and Maude Boyce on November 11, 1932.
Mr. Boyce graduated from Farmville High School in 1951. He joined the Navy in 1951 during the Korean War and was discharged in 1955. He attended Hardbarger’s Business College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
After graduating from Hardbarger’s, he worked for two years with The Medical Society of NC and then 20 years with E.H. Bridger, CPA.
After working as a Senior Accountant with Mr. Bridger, he went into Corporate Accounting as a Controller and then as a business owner with his wife and son.
Mr. Boyce was a member of the Garner Jaycees, a Mason, a Shriner and a lifetime member of the Garner VFW.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyce was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years Mary Ellen Boyce, his son Michael Grey Boyce and his sister, Jean Boyce Bailey. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Julie Boyce Petit (Rusty); his grandchildren Nicholas Boyce, Brandy Bryant, Jessica Boyce and Seth Boyce, great grandchildren Camren Julian Boyce, Hazen Michael Boyce and Liam Ridge Bryant and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at the Walstonburg Cemetery on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
