Kathryne Tugwell Price

Fountain………………………………….Kathryne Tugwell Price, age 72, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026. She was born in Pitt County on February 10, 1954 to the late Walter Lee Tugwell, Sr. and Geneva Murphy Tugwell.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother Walter Lee Tugwell, Jr.

Kathryne leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 53 years, David Ray Price; her daughters; Genean Price Vandiford (Buddy) of Greenville, and Donna Price Burby (Chris) of Ahoskie; her son, Jonathan Lee Price (Megan) of Hampstead; her grandchildren, Kasey Vandiford, Kody Vandiford, Braxton Price, Matthew Burby, Allison Burby, Aspen Price, and Elijah “Eli” Price; her brothers, Steve Tugwell (Angie), and Ricky Tugwell (Sue); her sister-in-law, Carol Tugwell; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Kathryne was a devoted Christian woman who lived for her family every day.  She was a faithful member of King’s Cross Roads Free Will Baptist Church.  She had a love for sewing, cooking, reading, and playing games.  However, her true passion was her family and grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 6pm – 8pm at Farmville Funeral Home, 4226 E. Church Street, Farmville, NC 27828.  A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 11am at King’s Cross Roads FWB Church, 2080 Seven Pines Road, Greenville, NC 27834 with Rev. Bruce Jones officiating.  Interment to follow the service at Hollywood Cemetery, Farmville, NC.

Visitation with the family will be at others times at the home of Genean Price Vandiford.
