Farmville…………………………………..Lester Carroll “Bud” Avery, age 83, died Sunday, January 21, 2024 at his home.

                                                                Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, January 25, at 3:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Brad Donaldson.  Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.

                                                                Mr. Avery was a longtime owner and operator of Carroll Avery Plumbing.

                                                                He is survived by his wife, Karen Langley Avery of the home; daughter, Tammy Modlin and husband, Keith of Farmville; son, Timmy Avery of Belvoir; grandchildren, Brooke Tomlin and husband ,Chris, Blake Modlin and wife, Haley, Cody Avery and wife, Ashten,  Caleb Avery, and Cassidy Avery; four great grandchildren; and sister, Judy Beaman of Greenville.
