Born on November 22, 1957, and raised in Farmville, North Carolina, Lisa lived a life centered on love, compassion, and caring for others. She attended Farmville Central High School and later studied at Pitt Community College, where she pursued her calling in nursing. Throughout her life, Lisa devoted herself to helping others both professionally and personally, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Lisa lived in Texas and Ohio during different seasons of her life, but no matter where she was, she created a warm and welcoming home filled with kindness, laughter, and love.
She especially cherished spending time with her family, baking for loved ones, gardening, attending horse shows, and caring for her beloved horses. She also enjoyed visiting with neighbors and helping others in both big and small ways. She always made sure the students in Alex’s class and school had what they needed, quietly giving and caring for others without expecting anything in return. Her generous spirit and caring heart touched countless lives.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Garramone; her daughter, Alex Britt; her sisters, Linda Gibson and Susan Matthews; her cousin, Dede Carron; many loving nieces and nephews; and her cherished pets, Raven, Eloise, Izzy, and Kitty.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, George Massey and Mary Massey, and her sister, Beth Massey.
Lisa will be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering support for those she loved, and the joy she brought into the lives of family, friends, neighbors, and patients alike. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
