Walstonburg…………………Lois Wooten Strickland, age 88, died Thursday, April 28, 2022.

                                                Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, May 1, at 7:00 P.M. at the Chapel of the Farmville Funeral Home by Rev. Michael Woolard and Rev. Matthew Galloway.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

                                                Interment will be held on Monday at 11:00 A.M. in Crestlawn Memorial

                                                Mrs. Strickland was a member of Spring Branch Free Will Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Strickland and son, Ronnie Strickland.

                                                She is survived by her daughters, Beth Strickland Cobb and husband, Carson of Saratoga and Janet Strickland Doane and husband, William of Walstonburg; sons, William Douglas Strickland and wife, Sandra of Walstonburg and Tim Strickland and wife, Anne Marie of Fuquay Varina; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Anne Craft of Walstonburg; brother, Jimmy Wooten of Wilson; and daughter-in-law, Janice Strickland of Fountain.
