Smithfield………………….. Marie Rouse, age 65, died Thursday, April 14, 2022 at her home.

                                                Graveside service will be held Monday, April 18, at 2:30 P.M. at Snow Hill Cemetery by Rev. Jason Hurt.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.

                                                She was a member of West Calvary Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Ina Mearl Rouse; brother, Travis “Pete” Rouse; and best friend, Terry Haddock.

                                                She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Marie Holloman of Newton Grove and Josie Lynn Holloman of Smithfield; son, Robert Edwards of Farmville; sisters, Annie Mae Rouse, Connie Sue Worthington, and Sallie Lou Dunn, all of Farmville; and Mary Ann Rouse of Greenville; brothers, Jasper Lee Rouse of Walstonburg and James Earl Rouse of Farmville; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her companion, Buddy Reed of the home.
