Fountain……………………………………………….Mary Elizabeth Wooten, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
Graveside service will be held, Friday, December 15, at 2:00 P.M. at the Peaden Family Cemetery, 4922 Sharp Point Road, Fountain, NC by Reverend Carlton Oakley. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Those desiring to pay their respects may do so at the Farmville Funeral Home Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. and Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.
Mary was a member of Dilda’s Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Her favorite thing to do was go shopping with the ladies of the community, there favorite spot was Hamricks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Mae and Henry Lee Peaden; son, Dannie Wooten; and husbands, James “Buddy” Wooten and Williard Wooten.
She is survived by her son, J.W. Wooten and wife, Kay; step daughter, Shelba Forrest and husband, Bobby; step son, Mitch Wooten; grandson, Justin Wooten and wife, Maghan; and great grandson, Jackson Wooten; sister, Annie Lee Joyner; brother, Donald Peaden and wife, Mable; and many loving family members.
