Ayden………………Mattie O’Quinn McLawhorn, age 88, died Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

                                   A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 19, at 2:00 P.M. at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church in Ayden by Rev. Milton Worthington and Rev. Melvin Worthington.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

                                   Mrs. McLawhorn was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Cox McLawhorn; granddaughter, Fairanna McLawhorn; and her parents and sisters.

                                   She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Rojas and husband, Juan of Corpus Christi, Texas and Letha Carol McLawhorn of Ayden; two sons, Timothy McLawhorn and wife, Donna of Washington and Paul McLawhorn and wife, Denise of Bell Arthur; grandchildren, Jonathan McLawhorn, Emily McLawhorn, Matthew McLawhorn, Victoria Hoggard, J.J. Rojas, and Daniel Rojas; and five great grandchildren.

                                   Arrangements are by Farmville Funeral Home.
