Stantonsburg………………………… Melvin Richard Veach, age 79, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024.  

                                                                He is survived by daughters: Deanna Nourie and husband Gregg of Charlotte, and Debbie Killian and husband Patrick of Absecon, New Jersey; step-sons, Michael Space and wife Lisa of New Bern and Richard Space Jr. of Halifax Virginia; sister, Shirley Shoenfelt; grandchildren, Briar Mae Corlis, Christopher Wilson, Sarah Buckley, Frank Buckley, and Ryan Buckley; step- granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Space and six great- grandchildren.

                                                                A private service will be held.
