Farmville………..Melvin Ray Hardee, age 81, died Tuesday, June 3 at ECU Health Medical Center. 

                                                Mr. Hardee was a veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

                                                He is survived by his daughter, Sheila H. Lewis of Fuquay; sons, Mitchell Hardee, and Randall Hardee, both of Farmville; sister, Shirley Hardee Meeks of Farmville; grandson, Christopher Hardee and former wife, Daisy Hardee of Farmville.

                                                A private service will be held.
