Michael Bryan Taylor, 57, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday morning, December 19, 2023. Born June 4, 1966 to Frank and Christine Taylor, Mike was a lifelong resident of the Farmville area. He spent most of his working life in the plumbing and repair industry serving homes and businesses in Farmville and Greenville for many years.
Mike was a true outdoorsman and was equally at home sitting in a deer stand, paddling a jon boat in a farm pond or roaring across the Neuse or Pamlico in a big center console. He excelled at catching speckled trout and big red drum and never hesitated to help others, especially kids, learn to do the same.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Frank Earl Taylor, his stepfather, Carl Driscoll Lineberger, and his younger brother Howard Driscoll Lineberger. He is survived by his mother, Christine Bryan Taylor Lineberger, sister, Frankie Lynn Taylor Tucker and husband, Howard Jackson Tucker, nephew, Bryan Jackson Tucker and wife, Mary Beth Tripp Tucker great nephew, Tripp Jackson Tucker, four legged companion, Little Bit, special long-time friend, Gail Hendricks and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation with the family will be held at the Farmville Funeral home on Thursday, December 28th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. We look forward to reminiscing, celebrating, and sharing stories from times spent with Mike.
In lieu of flowers consider a contribution to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org , or a charity of your choosing. Also, whether you knew Mike well or not, the next time you find yourself in the peace and tranquility of the great outdoors, take a moment to absorb the wonderment of what the Good Lord above has provided and know that Mike will be smiling down upon you.
